Here I have written about some experiences I've had, as they have come up. While I haven't added posts here in a while, I may at some point in the future.

Day of Prayer

February 25, 2016 - Lois Snyder

Yesterday started out with lots of things scheduled. Whenever I am unsure of how to fit it all in myself I pray for God's guidance. It reminds me of the verse in I Thessalonians 5:16 that says "Pray without ceasing."

Pumpkin Influence

February 16, 2016 - Lois Snyder

Last summer I grew pumpkins. When fall came I picked everything I brought them into the house to store until I needed them. Somewhere else I picked up some blue hubbard squash. Since they were both being stored and were the same I had them next to each other. I thought nothing of it until one day I noticed that my beautiful blue squash was turning orange. It is something in nature that some things take on the color of what is around them.

Secret Shopper

February 16, 2016 - Lois Snyder

At the grocery store where I work as a checker they have what is called a "secret shopper". This person goes around to all the different departments in the store posing as just another shopper getting what they need for the week. Although they are picking up things to buy, what they are really doing is making mental notes of what each one is doing according to the expectation of the store. I do not know who this person is. A couple weeks later there is a posting in the back room showing how each of us did. I respect my employers and want to do my best to please them.

Wallet in the Road

March 26, 2015 - Lois Snyder

One day I was driving home from work and I noticed something in the middle of the road.

The Grape Vine

March 15, 2015 - Lois Snyder

Yesterday I decided to clean up the backyard. I discovered that grape vines were climbing large trees. I thought this was no problem, I will just cut them off at ground level and pull them down. I pulled and pulled and some were making the whole large tree sway. They were not letting go. You would think a little vine could not hurt a tree with a large trunk. The more it covers over the tree the leaves shade out the leaves of the tree and can cause harm to the tree. The thing I noticed was it was not just one vine but so far up it would split off and send out more vines going in other directions. Now I had a real battle on my hands. It reminded me of the Bible verse,
